The Journal
The annual journal has been produced since 1932 with the exception of the war years and is a very important part of the league. It contains articles and items of news written or sent in by the members, as well as a summary of the Annual General Meeting. It is the formal link between members. The editor is supported by the editorial team, who are members of the executive committee. The editor is keen to welcome all items of interest.
The Archives
The League maintains the collection of records, photographs and other memorabilia connected with nurses and nursing at Charing Cross Hospital. Some of these are displayed in the cabinets in the hospital foyer.
The Annual General Meeting
The AGM is held on the second Saturday in May. Starting at 10.30, it is an opportunity for friends to catch up with people and news, over coffee, followed by the business meeting, which is the time for the Officers of the League to report to the members. After lunch there is a service in the Chapel of the Holy Cross which is held jointly with members of the Moot of the Bond, before a talk on a topical nursing/professional subject. The day culminates with tea at 3pm with friends.
